I Encountered A Black-Eyed Kid & Here’s What Happened Next …
It was a snowy and sloppy day in the Pacific Northwest when I heard a strange buzzing sound. When I looked at my security camera screen, I didn’t see anyone standing by my front gate. And then this happened …

Black-Eyed Kid Encounter In Thurston County, Washington
At first, I thought it was melting snow leaking into the buzzer electronics. That would cause the buzzer to do something odd, and then I’d have to worry if the water froze over night and ruin it.
It was about 4:30 p.m. on January 2nd, 2022. It was time to get my doggos out before it got too dark. My fur kids, as I like to call them, went running through the snow, bounding and playing, without any concerns.
But I saw something standing in front of my gate.
Now, the gate is 6-feet high and made of red cedar planks. There’s about a quarter-inch gap between each plank. Through it, I saw what looked like a kid.
I walked over to see what was going on. When I got there, I could tell it was a boy, probably about 10-to-12 years old. He wore a grey hoodie and blue jeans. The hood covered most of his face. I could tell he was Latino or Native American, but not much else.
At this point, I’m concerned because the temperature is near freezing, and this kid is out on a rural county highway by himself.
I was about to ask him if he needed help when he asked me if he could come inside and use my phone. In my pocket, I had my cell phone. I held it up and asked for his phone number to call his parents, but he said “No, I need to use your phone.”
So … I’ve watched too much true crime, and there’s no way in hell I’m letting an insistent kid into my house. Also, I’ve got 5 dogs at this point. The dogs are big and would probably knock the kid over.
I asked him again for this phone number, but he responded that he wanted to come inside and use my phone.
The next thing I know, Mikey, my 100-lbs. pit bull started making a ruckus. He took my attention away from the kid. I shushed Mikey and turned back to the kid … and he was gone!
I opened the fence and slipped, being careful not to let the dogs out.
As I looked along the road, there was nothing. No footprints in front of the gate. No cars driving down the road. No sign of the kid.
Like I said, I live out in the boonies. There’s 3 houses on this section of the road and a big, open field. I’d see the kid if he walked or ran down the road.
I went back inside the house and replayed the video on my security camera. I have a camera on top a post at my gate, so I’d have a clear picture of the kid.
And there was nothing.
You could see me walk up to the gate, and it’s obvious I’m talking to someone. You can see Mikey come over and bark. You can see me open the gate and look for the kid.
But there’s no kid.
I called my paranormal buddy, Merle, about it. Merle told me it could be a black-eyed kid, a mysterious entity that appears like my experience.
Let’s just say, I’m happy I never got to look into the kid’s eyes.
I haven’t had another experience like that since, and that’s my story.
If you’ve had an encounter with a black-eyed kid, let me know in the comments below.
