New Ghost Hunting Equipment | Footstep Tracker Geophone

Hi gang. Just a quick demo of the new footstep tracker geophone I got from Ghost Stop. Check out the video for more.

Jake bought the footstep tracker with his own money, so there’s no expectation of a good review for the manufacturer

About The Footstep Tracker Geophone 2

This gadget is simple enough to use. Just turn the red knob to activate it. As you turn it toward the right, it becomes more sensitive. At the 12 o’clock spot, it becomes so sensitive, it picks up cars driving outside. That means I wouldn’t move the red knob past the 10 o’clock position or you’ll get false positives.

A green, yellow, orange or red light will indicate how strong the movement (or vibration) is. A white light will also race up and down the light bar. It’s a real-time reading to show how strong the movement (or vibration) is. Here’s what the indicators mean:

  • Green event marker = the lowest level. It appears in the lowest quarter of the light bar.
  • Yellow event marker = a medium result. It appears in the lower half of the light bar.
  • Orange event marker = a stronger result. It appears in the upper half of the light bar.
  • Red event marker = the strongest result. It appears at the top of the light bar.

The display counts the events, but it needs a 10-second gap between to read them accurately. In the demo, I keep moving the gadget to show the different event markers and real-time measurements. It only counted 1 event, although I made 4 events. The event markers will remain lit for 10 seconds.

This gadget is ideal to leave in an empty room with a Tracerwire, put a camera on it, and go ghost hunt in a different spot. It has an alert if it detects anything. However, it’s not that loud and you may not hear it.

You can read more about how to operate it at Footstep Tracker Geophone 2 page at GhostStop.com.

This gadget will be used in our upcoming ghost hunt documentary this October. I’ll pair it with the Tracerwire, which detects movement along an LED strip. Hopefully, we capture some phantom footsteps.
