What’s Happening on Ghostly Activities for July 2026

Hi gang!

Hope all is well. Here’s an update for what’s coming for Ghostly Activities in the near future (think next 90 days).

Ghostly Activities Blog

I’ve gone back and updated older posts (from 10+ years ago), and I’ve also worked on my other site, Puget Sound Monster Club. If you like cryptids and monsters, you might like it. It’s a much more science-based take on creepy critters in the PNW.

As for Ghostly, I will write the ghost hunt reports for the documentaries. More on that later …

Otherwise, I’ll stick to tips/tricks/reviews/investigations/true ghost stories like I’ve been doing. I think I’ll bring back scary urban legend deep dives, too.

Ghostly Activities Podcast

I’ll get back in the booth to read some articles and true ghost stories in July. I’m also looking into more interview-based episodes.

I want to make something more like a show that’s 20-30 minutes long and covers ghost stories, equipment reviews, dark history, and some investigative reports. Kinda like a newscast but spookier.

Paranormal Documentaries

I’m currently editing a new ghost hunting documentary at a historic location in British Columbia. You’ve heard that one before, right? I’ve also got another one filming in August with Merle and the Our Haunted Heritage crew. I hope to get it out in late September/early October for spooky season.

I’m also going to start writing the official ghost hunting reports for the documentaries. Only Fort Worden has an official report attached to it. I’m currently writing one for Cottonwood. Those will publish as soon as I finish them.

New YA Fiction

I’ve got this idea for a supernatural young adult action/adventure series I want to explore. I won’t give it away just yet but it will be on a separate website and podcast.

Growing up, I loved Choose Your Own Adventure books. This series won’t be in that format but it will be inspired by them. Especially the Choose Your Own Nightmare and Goosebumps versions. More to come this summer. I’ll start with world building the universe then.

Social Media

I think I’ll get back into social media … selectively. I’m looking at Reddit and Pinterest. Reddit to be useful and helpful to the ghost hunting community. Pinterest because people like to bookmark all the ghost hunting tips and tricks I publish.

I guess you could count YouTube because that’s where the documentaries are but I don’t publish more than longform videos there.

As for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and others … well … those platforms are so crowded with sensational spooky stuff … I don’t see the point. That’s not really my jam.

AI Disclosure

You can probably tell I use AI-generated images, right? I wanted to officially disclose that, and it’s because there aren’t many image libraries that have ghost, haunting and monster images that match Ghostly Activities articles. So, I use ChatGPT to make them. I’d prefer to use creepy stock photos but there just aren’t that many you haven’t seen before.

I also use AI for research, which actually does a pretty good job. I only ask for verified sources from legit sources with links. Then I go check them out to make sure they really are legit.

I used AI to outline articles to be comprehensive and write a first draft, and the result were … meh. It’s great for brainstorming but I’ve stopped using it to write anything. Plus, I like to write. I felt a lot of pressure to produce articles but now I’m going to take my time with it.

What type of articles/podcasts/videos would you like to see on Ghostly? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading and take care!
