About Ghostly Hitchhikers

Ghosts and entities can attach themselves to people and travel home with them. This usually happens if you don’t ground yourself after an investigation. Just so you know – you don’t ask for this to happen: The spirit does it on its own. You probably wouldn’t notice it until you have ghostly activities happen in your home.

It’s difficult to determine why you picked up a ghostly hitchhiker. The ghost may like your energy signature. It’s just as common for a person’s energy field to be repulsive to a spirit. Needless to say, these folks don’t attract spirits. It’s more common to have your field reject a spirit than attract a spirit.

The ghost will likely leave after a short time. Mind you, a short time could be a few hours to a couple of weeks. Anything over that may signal a long-term haunting and you should cleanse your house to rid the spirit.

Generally speaking, a ghostly hitchhiker will start its active haunting of your home right away. You’ll probably note it within a few hours of your return home. Continue to do your white-light protection techniques and you may want to burn sage and do some smudging to clean up the spiritual energy in your house. That should do the trick and remove the ghost.

It’s not uncommon for ghostly hitchhikers to be stubborn and not move on. If you’ve tried cleansing your house 4 times in a month and the spirit won’t leave, you may need a professional to do it for you.
